50th Anniversary Reunion Planned

Fellow Classmate,

It is hard to believe we were Prep Seniors 50 years ago! Upon graduating in 1961, many of us went our separate ways, but the memories, values, beliefs and our Prep education served us well in our pursuit of higher learning. We have entered into all walks of life and made our mark in our own special ways. Now we have a wonderful opportunity to refresh those great memories and renew friendships that slipped away as we played the game of life. So pick up your pen and mark your calendar now -- our 50th Reunion dates are June 3-5, 2011.

The Prep’s Alumni Services have already started the planning for Our 50th Reunion Weekend. It was surprising to learn the significance the Prep has placed on the 50th Reunion. We will have an opportunity to participate in a graduation ceremony again - walking ahead of the 2011 graduation class on Sunday. The key events planned are, a Mass on Saturday afternoon, a Dinner Dance Saturday Night and the Graduation ceremony Sunday. The Hilton Hotel in Short Hills will serve as our headquarters.

Our Class will need to decide if we want to do more! The class of 1960 had a golf outing on the Friday and an informal dinner that night. We have a good number of classmates living outside NJ, so adding to the social agenda should have value. A Hospitality Suite normally works well as a gathering spot. We also need input on what other activities we should consider

What needs to be done? First --plan to attend! Next get involved and help get the word out by talking it up with your classmates. Classmates missing contact info have a "blue" designation in the "residence" column.Any help that you can provide to assist in locating these mates will be gratefully received. Secondly, click on the "Register" menu button to access the Prep Alumni Office contact information. All registration activity will be facilitated by this office. You may also send the registrar an email to initiate the registration process or gather more event information.

There is also a tradition for the 50th reunion class to present the Prep a Jubilee Class Gift. This is a great opportunity for us as a class to recognize the Prep's experience impact that helped mold us into the people we are today. Soon you will be receiving more details from our Jubilee Gift Subcommittee.

We are off to a terrific start toward our targeted goal set by the committee of $150,000. We are over 1/3 there, and here is a current (5.16.2011) breakdown chart:
